I think I paid $12 for one in acceptable shape, no case. Could have been the one I added to The Traveling Box. With Schick's earlier tend to be more efficient / aggressive. That's a Type L-2 made between 1965-1980. There were at least three other handles available from that type. Lots of info -> HERE.
Bought some Proraso red AS to go with the goo. And a bit rough looking tech. And 200 gillette wilkinson sword blades.
I read somebody on this forum talking about these, then noticed that one had popped up on ebay. I then tried to find the discussion previously to send a PM to the person talking about them but couldn't find it. If this is you and that is thus, well done
I "was" looking, but after I'd found this one. Didn't initially buy it, but went back later, so it "might" have been me!
I've got $9.95 plus shipping for a total of $17.80 in it. Don't know necessarily that that's good, nor do I know it's bad! As folks sometimes say....It is what it is!
I'm a fan of antique shops and thrift stores. If you take into account I was on a 660 mile drive, between Macon Georgia and South West Louisiana somewhere in Alabama - my shipping cost approached $82.50. You did good!
Looked in a couple of "thrift" shops today, but didn't find anything. Auctions, both actual physical ones and online ones are a recurring theme with me. Have hit on a few items, but never any shave related items in physical ones. But auctions being what they are, that could change. We have an auctioneer near us who sells estates, real estate, commercial equipment, etc. Usually has a couple "inside" ones a month at his "barn." Maybe I'll get lucky one day.
Waiting on a Timeless Bronze.38 from a Trade. seller’s pic. Also from PAA Cold Spice Soap & Aftershave. I should get my Global shave club’s Tribute R41+ razor today. Also a NOS Seaforth mug with soap in it. Sent from my iPhoneXR using Tapatalk
This! The description heading on this thing didn't state model/style, etc. They just called it: Vintage 1930s 1940s Art Deco Schick Injector Safety Razor Bakelite Handle I bought it merely because I liked it, the style, etc. I've never attempted deciphering one of these using the available info to determind just exactly what I have. So, this is part of my learning curve.
I'm not an expert, but I'd say you have a Schick E3 type made from 1935 to 1945. http://www.safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm Very nice!
oh boy, i am in trouble lol.... A Schick adj, A AC Shavette clone A Pal Injectomatic A Bowl of Vintage shaving soap A week or two ago i had never heard of a SE.....
I'm wondering if it's supposed to be R41esq . There is not really anything in the description. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
