I expect so, Joseph. I like my Gillettes & Schicks, but there are other makers of blade holders. Everyone speaks highly of these. Good Blades! Thanks Patrick. I have plenty of coffee mugs so I probably use it for the soap. Going to start looking for a lid that fits. I'm anticipating trying the soap and I enjoy breaking in a new boar brush! Did Burma Shave ever make an aftershave?
ETA; Friday. I'll let you know how it goes! I purchased this one knowing it's both a more rare handle, and User Grade. With a chrome finish rather than nickle, I gather they aren't welcomed by the shops that do plating. If it proves to be a good blade holder I may be watching for another of the more common handle type.
Hmmm. May be time for another purchase. I cannot describe how much I like that Jim! Ohhhh. Very nice !
Last night I won this 1946-47 Gillette Super Speed WITH the original box, U shaped cardboard piece to hold the razor and matching cream colored Blue Blade dispenser for $60 + $5.5o shipping. I was the only one that bid on this complete set. Other photos show that the box is in very good condition. For those wondering, I am definitely going to use this razor to shave with as I don’t believe in using razors as paperweights.
cool ss set..i agree.they are meant to be used..using a new 75 year old razor is a great experience imo..
