Never knew, or thought, about Ebay sites connected to other than the US. Are there links to them off the US site or a separate url?
Ebay blocks a lot of foreign listings from it's international sites on the US web page. Even if you did change the settings it still won't pick them up since I don't think it will translate the listings headings into English. It is big time hit or miss and better to check each international web site directly using a translator. https://pages.ebay.in/globaltrade/international.html few others that are good For Central or South America https://www.mercadolibre.com/ Brazil is a good country specific site to look for old razors on. For South Africa https://www.bidorbuy.co.za/
Here is another one I just bought off the french ebay site. This particular one unless you found a collector with one for sale, chances of snagging this elsewhere would have been minimal. This is an import for France British made Gillette RFB (Raised Flat Bottom) New 3pc I usually don't buy Gillettes anymore since I've owned them all including the same razor but not as an import version but with Gillette when they made import stuff the razors tend to be made and in turn shave differently.
And then there were almost none. Leresche 77, with a tip of the hat to @twhite. Expect to see some things for sale. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
Good score. I like french razors and all but I don't know what all the hub bub is about with that particular Leresche razor besides it's razor head design.
very cool.i have 2 3 piece sets.they were still made in england ,just made for the french market..they shave the same as the made in england ones.very well..
I have a nice PIF on its way fro across the pond from my friend Bill Taylor. And it is.... A Fatip OpenComb Safety Razor & A RazoRock BlackHalk SE He was kind enough to throw in some single edge Kai and feather blades =] Can't wait for the Fatip and this will be my first single edge I hear the blades are thicker and you get a lot of more shaves out of them!! AHHHH WetShaving!
47 US Aristocrat Jr incorrectly listed as a Gold Super Speed? It's definitely (Gold) A-Jr with the collar above the knurling and wings. So-so pics but guess it could be replated but looks well used? Either way I found a second A-Jr this year listed as a S.S.
Along with the Leresche 77 I'm waiting on this French Spadson. The most compelling reason to grab it was @Cha-wing!! saying it was unmanageable. Up for a challenge.
