Big weekend for deliveries here. Super excited. My Merkur 39c Slant should be here today. Saturday should be a bunch of soaps (B&M, Stirling, Caties Bubbles, some other stuff I cant even remember ). Monday will be a RR Jaws and an R41.

 

Got my ikon 102 in Thursday! Love both handles. I think I prefer the long heavy handle more. Keeps me from applying too much pressure. Still waiting for my Russian bladed and sampler blade packs.

 

I just ordered some Stirling Cocoa Forest, Frozen Tunda, and Port-au-Prince shave soaps and un-scented aftershave balm. I think that is the smallest order I have placed with Stirling.

 

My wife is waiting for a Weishi, omega 98 and a tub of white Proraso. Will be her maiden voyage into DE shaving.

 

Thanks. Note I'm also waiting for some frozen tundra soap full puck, samples of Barber shop along with some pre oil, post balm and black ice which hazel and aloe post shave. Gotta try it!

On a related note, I'm currently using my wife's MacBook as the graphics card in my MacPro took a permanent vacation.
New faster card should arrive any day now.

 

Well....see...here's the thing...

It came back to life...and has been working great all weekend.....soooo...now I have a new shiny laptop due to arrive tomorrow..while the one I thought has died lazarused itself.

Not sure what to do. Do I keep the toy or do I send it back to Amazon and get my money back?

And yes, I know what the answer should be.

 

Two laptops are certainly handier than having just one. One for home (NEW), and one for the road (old).

 

I know...but I also feel wasteful as I don't need it (a logic that apparently I don't apply towards shaving related acquisitions).
Sigh, I think I'll send it back and save that money for when the old one truly breaks down.

I wish that common sense and frugal approach was more prominent in all aspects of my life
