Do the Aluminum Foil and Baking soda clean 1st so you don't remove more silver plating than you need to.

Thanks Dave..very good advice. I've used that method with very good results in the past. It worked wonders on 100 years of tarnish on a gillette bulldog old type I bought a while back.

 

I had a few minutes to kill on my lunch break today so I made a deal on this razor made by Prybrands Inc aka Conrad Razor Co. This one will become my regular user to help preserve another one I have with no handle brassing which came in a R.H. & Macy Co. case. I have also seen this same set in a B. Altman & Co. branded case. It's a superb shaver which has become one of my favorites.

 

That handle does have some brassing, but the head looks like new. Very nice!

Feeling lucky today! just scored a 1955 A2 Gillette Diplomat for less than 20 bucks including shipping.
