you know those very pretty printed gillette cases that have the stamped gillette on the outside And those felt liners on the inside of those gillette cases that have the stamped logo?? you would use that to make those with.. lay your foil sheet on the fabric and that would press the foil indention into the case or material !! Someone (YOU) would be able to redo the liners and cases to look Brand New with the proper plates!!!
Other than it's a rough looking user grade that needs cleaning I don't know how to date them and the differences Gary. What can you tell me about it.
notched center bar -1948 up..very cool.the notch is for the speed load blade holders made around 1948 up.
It would need to be a hot stamp plate. A short lived restorer in the UK made one, but he stopped doing restores. Edit: you should do a charcoal rubbing.
