my favorite of the 2 piece handles.i like the brit barber pole knurled one as well but the plating is usually patchy on them.at least on the ones i have and have seen.

Waiting for a Simpson Trafalgar T3 synthetic (should be here this week).

My favourite synthetic is the Simpson CH2 "synthetic bristle" ... I hope not to be disappointed by the Trafalgar

As I understand it, the fibres are different from the ones in the CH2 knot, but reviews are positive. We'll see

 

Mexico Gillette Knack in super über rare red color and even better: My birth year and quarter 1973 T-4 date code! So, awesome razor for any Gillette collector and overwhelmingly awesome for my Gillette birth collection!

I don't know Jorge. I had no clue this color existed at all. I just happened to stumble across it on Razor Emporium's website. And of course being that I purchased it from Razor Emporium, I paid much more than I normally would for a regular run of the mill Knack, which I already own a 1973 T-1 USA variant, but between the super rare color and being a T-4, no way I could pass it up. I find it super cool that even after all these years, we still find new Gillette stuff we didn't know about.

Whew it does! Really looking forward to having it in hand and taking lots of good pictures.

thank you Mike.i needed a replacement as a fatal drop damaged the center bar of my nickel one a while back.it's gold but it will do for now..randomly bid and no one else bid higher on it..
