1. Gentlemen, from my last shave...

I learned that the soft water in NY is affecting my lather...it's just not the same as I am used to.

  2. I learned that I really love my Merkur 34c!

  3. I learned this simple fact: That even a 'tuggy' straight razor shave is still a far more enjoyable shaving experience than any I've ever had with a multi blade cartridge razor. ;)

  4. I learned that no matter how much a blade is revered by others, it may not work so well for me.

This is my second attempt at these blades. I really wanted to like the Gillette Silver Blues but all it did was irritate my face from the tugging.
  5. The GSB has been very razor dependent for me. Some they work fine, others they tug badly.

  6. Over the past two weeks, I've learned that I can easily get seven great shaves out of a Feather Pro blade in my Mongoose. At this rate, I will save enough money to pay for this razor in...uh...er...well looky there...it's bedtime already. :happy102:
  7. I had always heard that synthetic brushes do not hold a lot of water. - However that is not the case for the Plisson Cade brush - it holds it very well or in this morning's case - a bit too well.

  10. That bowl lathering is not difficult and very effective, and to keep going when your not getting things right. Because when it all falls into place. It's a dream.

  11. That I really need to take it slow and not speed through my shaves. I almost consider myself a newb again, since I shave my head now and have only been doing it for a few months. Talk about really needing to make sure the lather is right.
  12. I head lather, and my mantra has become "when in doubt, add more water".

  13. Not to shave when I'm pissed off!
I've found since my shaving epiphany that it really chills me out. Tonight was the first time that I was too wound up to and should have walked away. If I'd been using a more aggressive razor, I expect I'd had ended up in tatters.

  14. For me Ladas blades are extremely smooth

  15. Gentlemen, from my last shave...

I learned that as the dial numbers increase on the slim, more care and attention must be paid to blade angle than at lower settings.

  18. That menthol Monday's may turn into tingly Tuesday, and Wild Wednesday, terrific Thursday, etc... Love the menthol!

  20. It was my first time using my new British Flair Tip Rocket and I learnt that it was an excellent razor.
Happy to add it to the razor rack(s)....
