I learned that DE razors can cut just like straights if you get sloppy and don't check your gear. Loose TTO doors are no fun.
I learned that one fast. Happened with my black handle SS. Now, no natter what DE I'm using, I check them 2-3x during the shave.
Sometimes I am a slow learner. Today the premise of concentrating on the shave was reinforced by a cut due to inattention.
Ouch. I've been presented with that life lesson as well. I've learned that as much as I adore MdC, it does not agree with my skin. Someone's going to snag a pretty good deal...
Learned (realized) that a synthetic brush doesn't lather Williams mug soap nearly as well as boar or badger. Also, the Astra SS blade is a very good blade so far. Shave #4 and still no nicks or scrapes due to the blade. This is the best/most shaves in a row with excellent results. Still smooth DFS with the DE89 and a ball end tech used today. Hmm, go on to shave #5 or is 4 good enough for the blade....
Purchased a tub of tiki 1920 BARBERSHOP and now have to try a few more of their soaps. I may need to find a therapist who specializes in addiction.
That some soaps are either bad or that not all brushes are good for all soaps. End was result a nasty cut to the back of my head. And that Dorco St-301 last me maybe one shave.
Bayrum might be the worst thing that's made contact with my eye....and I've had bleach in my eyes before
Sounds painful. I've had super glue in my eye - probably the worst eye pain I've ever experienced but bleach and apparently Bayrum sound worse.
Speick active soap mixed with Speick active cream mixed with Speick active aftershave splash mixed with 444 makes me face feel nice.......
When People Say.. just put a mediocre blade in your slant it will really shave great!!!.... thats BUNK!!! After using several of my less than great blades I thought this 37c may not be for me..... so today I put in a Crystal.... WOW!!! best shave of the lasts two weeks!!
Gentlemen, from my last shave... I learned that shallow blade angle is key to using a Cadet OC three piece razor. And patience.
lather is sooo huge...a well made lather can compinsate for a lot of other things....take/enjoy the time making it
