I just finished with a Voskhod in my gold Contract...and directly went to the 'bay and ordered 100 more. Smooth, and didn't even get any redness from scrubbing my throat. I do believe I've had my closest to BBS yet.

I learned/confirmed that I want the sharpest blade possible for my Super Speeds. I've tried Feathers and really like them. I'm on the hunt for others to try.

I was reminded I have to continually watch pressure and not become lax. I ended up with a weeper on my chin today, not too bad, but it was from poor pressure.

If you haven't tried them already, give Shark Super Chromes and Bic Chrome Platinums a go.

I learned that the more I rotate through my current stock of about 25 soaps/samples, the more my top 3 performers keep distancing themselves from the pack. Stirling, WSP Formula T, and Route 66 all seem to have an extra slickness and protection factor that none of the others seem to have for me.

I learned that maybe Personna Reds might be better in a '50s Super Speed. I'll find out tomorrow night, I reckon.

That popping noise I was hearing while shaving was not the drain in the sink but my little finger over the hole in the handle of my 34c! The drain is now clean and inspected:))))))).

R66 is a modern boutique classic! Killer soap base. I am learning straight shaving with it. Protective, Arko level lather, but without any skin dryness. Love that stuff.

    Gentlemen, from my last shave...
I confirmed that when it comes to straights and lather, wetter is better!

What I have learned from my last shave: A properly honed straight razor will cut your beard fine - a not so sharp one will just pull your hair out ;)
