What do you think is the most beautiful razor. It can be anything. Double edge, single edge, straight, cartridge, or even a grungy old non functional razor that is a family heirloom. I think we need another picture thread of beautiful razors and if you have a story to go with it I would like to hear that too. I won't bother posting a picture of my Merkur 34C but I do think this Joris I saw online looks incredible... then I saw the price. It looks like the EJ Chastsworth might have got it's inspiration from these curves? This should be for beauty not necessarily best function or in your price range but if you own the razor then by all means lets see some glamour shots of it.
I agree that the Joris is a well-appointed razor. I'm a sucker for wood n' steel combinations, or other organic materials used with chrome, gold, etc.
I've always really liked the look of the Gillette NEW Improved series with the ornate handles, like the Tuckaway, Bostonian, Chesterfield and there are others variations. Don't own one so I not sure how they shave but they look cool.
Funny, I am just about to buy the razor you pictured. I have the gold plated bone handled one and its is gorgeous. A very aggressive razor
Friend of mine makes these. Here is the link if anyone is interested in knowing more. http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/380806-Pendragon-Razor-Handles-of-Distinction
You should post some pics when you get it in. I love the shape of it. I like the last on in Holy Rollah's post too. It looks like a bone handle.
I will give you all the info I have and give you a referral to the artist but first I want to make sure I am not breaking any forum rules by doing so. I don't profit off these.
