    Keep it up Ken !

Im very curious to the numbers since I have a similar scale at home.

For me it has been no intensive sports due to aswell the holiday days closing my gymn but also my old neck injury popped back up so its been very quiet for the past 3 weeks.

I hope to start tomorrow again. inbetween only the cellerciser if my neck allowed it Id jump for 10m... it does help then completely doing nothing..

Yeah sorry to be honest I have gotten off track with giving updates, mostly because I wanted to get some new figures based on the new scale.

At last measure I was at 214 with 29.5% body fat!

That is officially 20 pounds dropped since my peak in the summer/September and 13 pounds since I really started trying!

    NOW !

thats what im talking about ! thats the figures we all like to hear. now if only we could get before and after pics then we are ...oh ok maybe a bit too much to ask for.

29.5% ! amazing.. around 20% is when you get to be ripped and the 6 pack starts to show that is if you train abs.

Well Folks it seems Ken is still on track.. how are ya'll doing for 2008 have you broken any promises? are we loosing the christmas dinners yet ?

Are you keeping your promise for 2008 to better your life ? eat less excersize more ?

we love to hear succes stories.

I wouldnt try cutting smoking without any help Isaac that is if you have smoked for years if you only smoked for 2-3 id say you will make it but if its years your body wont accept the non nicotine state there for the nicotine gums will help unless you got IRON Will Power... lets see how long you make it without.. prove me wrong ! ;)

Just did my first weight excersizes for this year nothing too much only 30m that was nice.

I did! 2002, just threw it all away, the first week was ok, the second and third was hell! After that the nicotine surge was pretty much gone...

I must admit that I have taken up pipe-smoking during the last year or so, but not on a daily basis, more a weekly basis.

    That explains a lot. :p

We need a quit smoking thread. I keep trying to kick the habit myself, but I'm afraid I'll hurt someone. :ashamed001

    Oh, and congrats, Johan!

Though I always wonder about replacing cigs with pipes or cigars. I know, I know, they aren't the same, still..........

The only thing I think that keeps me smoking is my job. I started about 1 year ago when I hit NYC. Stress at the job is pretty high and sometimes you just need to get out. Days off...Im OK not smoking....when im back at work....gotta have it.

Shouldn't be too hard to quit then, Isaac. You just need to find something else, to provide that me time at work. That's my thoughts on smoking sometimes, it's all about the 5 minutes to yourself.

As for me, well my first cig was 20 years ago, or so. It's tough to put it down, after so long. I think I quit for 3 months about 7 or 8 years ago. But I started hanging out with smokers again, and picked the habit back up.

I don't recall my exact age when I had my first cig, but I know where I was living and what else occured while I lived there.

1987, I was living in upstate NY, a very small town called Ilion. I was diagnosed with diabetes Christmas of '87. Only lived in Ilion for about 3 years. And I know my first cig was in Ilion. So, around '87 is when I had my first cig. It wasn't a full blown habit at that age of course. A bit difficult to get cigs at that age, ya know? But that's when it started. :ashamed001

Grudgingly, I sold my Bowflex X2. I needed the cash and I wasn't using it much. It's alright though because a new gym opened up near me with a $10 per month membership fee. For a full-service gym, that's an amazing price.
