I love wet shaving. Always have. If there is one thing I dislike, it is that there is actually very few shaving supplies I can go buy in person, at an actual brick and mortar store. And to be honest, most of what I can buy in stores isn't the greatest... Not being able to get supplies is why I quit wet shaving for the past 15 odd years. I got sick of driving all over town looking for my injector blades. Now with the internet, staying stocked up on soaps, blades etc is easy. But I would still love to run to the corner store and grab what I needed from time to time.
I hate: not being able to get BBS, or even DFS not being able to get a decent shave with a vintage razor, even after 380+ days having to choose between stubble or irritation all my failures with a straight razor Other than that, I love it.
That I did not return to wet shaving sooner and that I can only shave once a day (in reality could shave more than once but not practical to me). Ed
The clean up. As one member here stated before, my bathroom looks like an epileptic octopus had a seizure when I get through shaving.
It was supposed to give me a better shave and save me money. The better shave I got. It's the saving money I don't got.................... Also, the extra time I spend wet-shaving could be used for something more productive. However, I truly enjoy shaving now.
I get a little frustrated when I'm not getting things quite right. Like at the mo I'm struggling with my black beauty. But I'll persist and get there. So frustrated, but not hate it. However, one thing I hate.... The taste of the damn alum bloc. I don't chew it. But I do have a good rub around, and i always end up with it on my lips. It's not good.
Aren't "eccentric" and "millionaire" pretty much synonymous? I mean, if someone is eccentric and not a millionaire, isn't he just plain crazy?
Many of the millionaires I've encountered (and we've quite a number in this region) I would describe as more egocentric than some of those other descriptors.
I never forget that when the rich man approached Jesus in the temple and asked how to be perfect, Jesus replied to the man to give away all of his earthly possessions and serve others. The love of money is the root...
