No need to justify... I figure I need 1800 Feathers in stock to last me the rest of my life, should the shaveocalypse occur. Guess I better get busy!
Only justification I can think of is they are a "GREAT" blade! Also I haven't seen them going down any in price. So the blades you buy now, you will use one day in the future, at a reduced price compared to the current price of the blades at that time.. Does that make sense??? AHHHHHH what the hell just go buy some.... My Motto: You can "NEVER" have too many blades, razors or soaps/creams. Thats just the way it is.... [Edit] I'd like to add After Shaves to the list. How could I have forgotten them, what was I thinking
I never cared much for what others thought. I like my DE's and shaving prep for many reasons. There will always be someone who recognizes the market of providing DE blades and razors. I'm not worried about availability. I like the idea of we shaving remaining unpopular...just one more thing that differentiates us from the animals in our society
Yes, due to increased demand and more outlets selling products to satisfy that demand. Yes, and for the same reason. Without a doubt, although to what extent remains uncertain. Cost is an important factor pushing people away from cartridges and towards traditional shaving. Increasing prices too much would be a sales inhibitor. Those three were easy, as they have already taken place and continue to do so. In addition to cost as a driving factor, the macho, manly factor is important for many straight razor users. That information came from a longtime brick and mortar seller of straights. If we decide to do so. People will use the tools they are taught to use, provided that those tools work well for them. No, not anymore. Sky high cartridge prices have made sure of that. Some folks were switching from five blade to three blade cartridges. Gillette responded by changing the color of the Mach III cartridges to green, calling them "Sensitive" and jacking up the price. It will only serve to accelerate the move towards safety razors or straights. Due to the now thawing recession, people demand value for their money. Unless Gillette pulls the mother of all rabbits out of the hat, things won't change. I certainly hope so, as that would mean more traditional wetshaving products would be available. In many ways, traditional wetshaving is no longer considered neat or unique, just efficacious and cost effective. Coolness of shaving? Maybe it's just me, but I never saw shaving as being cool unless menthol was somehow involved. Almost nobody pays attention to what the hipsters are doing any more and they were never cool. Just my 2 cents.
