My vintage Shulton Old Spice bottles (Original, Lime, Burley, Musk and Leather) still smell great. I have an vintage bottle of Vetiver de Guerlain that is lovely. Finally, I have two 9oz bottles of the original Brut. My favorite. (SWMBO likes it too!)

You have "Boyley"(recall "Stoylin") and Leather? I'm jealous.

I think we need some pics, of these old bottles of aftershave. When I am able to, I will post a couple.

I have some old Avon bottles with product in them that likely date to the 70's. I use the bottle of Spicy because it smells pretty good and the silver stein bottle is flaking badly enough to kill any collector value.

Does that mean I'd need a support group after getting Drakkar Noir?(most famous during that same time period, but not as much now)

I've often wondered what that smelled like. It disappeared before my time, which I thought was in the 70's

But then how will you transform from Barney Jekyll into Bubba Hyde?

I have an Avon bottle that dates to 1973 and it still smells fine. However, I've smelled some nasty old bottles in Antiques stores.

As long as they have been stored properly, I've found the Old Spice still smells great, even from the 1940's.

I've seen many Avon and other decorative perfume bottles stored on kitchen and living room window sills. Long term sun and heat are not the best conditions to retain the original scents. :D

I've got a late 40s old spice bottle. Still full and smells great but I don't use it, I do use it for display purposes. I'm going to be checking out ebay for more of the 40s bottles, I notice they are hard to find IMG_20200901_212556.jpg

I've give up the idea of not using things cause they're vintage or antique. Seeing deaths, fires accidents and water damage makes personal precious items into trash. All you valuable things are only moments from the trash heap or the good will bin.

If like it I use it ...... if I don't it's out the door.

:happy096: nice score on the OS!
