Interesting. In post #13, I said the same thing about my Fendrihan - a Scientist in my case, but the heads are identical. I tried my Gillette Fatboy on maximum setting 9 yesterday, and it was smooth and mild by comparison.
Hello folks, my most unforgiving razor is the Double Edge Yuma. I think they are made in Turkey. I bought mine for a whopping $5. I don't know if they are still being made. Here's some photos- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My USA Super Speed red tip. I'm thinking of retiring this from the rotation as I don't really enjoy it. Here's my picture of my USA (upper) and UK (lower) Red Tips.
It was the Futur until I trashed it due to corrosion issues. Now it would have to be my early Schick injector with excessive blade exposure, virtually no guard bar protection.
Gillette old type and single ring, barbasol (or cloned barbasol). Never fails. Always feel like I'm shaving with a cheese grater
Gotta be either the R41, or the Gem MMOC. While I can easily get great shaves with either, they will penalize complacency.
Been so long I completely forgot about the Gem MMOC. VERY uncomfortable shave, I only used it for a while in the beginning then shelved it.
Parker Variant Adjustable is most unforgiving razor because you can shave on #5 setting without any issue, however you can turn the dial all the way up to #10 setting is the most aggressive shave is far worst than a R41 which I haven't try it.
I think the Merkur Futur was the worst for me. The 2011 R41 was not far behind. I don't have either any more.
I've found my Schick E2 to be a real face ripper. The GEM MMOC I used once and said "Oh hell no..." HERM
I'd never heard that particular razor was aggressive. The Cadet Open Comb TTO is/was the same razor, yes?
Any of my razors in which I put a Feather blade. No matter how careful I am, I always draw blood when using a Feather.
