As I said it's gross, so I do it when the water starts to slow down. Probably every 3 to 6 months ... wife has long hair.
I changed the heater/ac blower motor in my oldest girl's Saturn Ion. This is the work of brain damage from GM that actually has to be cut out with a blade. There are screw holes for a bracket that should come with the new motor to install it. I picked up a motor that was a customer return for $15 instead of $55 because it didn't include that bracket. I improvised with about $3 worth of hardware from Lowes. And I ran a bead of silicone around the cut to seal it up. The bracket would have covered it if I'd had it. I also had to dremel a bit to accommodate two threaded studs on the new motor that didn't quite line up, about 1mm off. But everything is back together and working now.
I took the entire family out to the gun range, yesterday. My 12 yr old daughter shot a gun, for the first time. I devoted 95 % of my attention to her, and the .22 cal Browning Buckmark. I didnt shoot, i just helped the others. The 18 yr old dauter, and 20 yr old son were shooting a Glock 17, 9mm. The wife was using a Ruger .22 pistol. The 12 yr old is a crack shot, easily placing most rounds, center mass. Very proud of her. Wife, mehhhh. Too jumpy.
Great job! Though a little thing thing I do with my boys is when I'm working on something for them; I make them work with me so as to learn something and realize the work involved.
More work on stereo console .... mounted the new speakers into the cabinet and cut down the back to accept the new receiver. Temporarily hooked up the antenna and speakers, and I was pleased with the sound ..... WOW! Next, I need to work on the turn table and internal shelf. Coming down the final stretch. ____________ More to come ...... Pics coming soon Rich!
I did 4 loads of laundry, baby sat the little ones, and cleaned the house, all while watching the Saints game. SWMBO went to her classroom for most of the afternoon to work on lesson plans and grade papers. Now, I get to cook supper. I think we are having hot dogs and mac n cheese tonight!
I don't know about manly, but, I was a part of the security detail assigned to President George H.W. Bush's family/friends, at the Houstonian Hotel, all morning, today.
