"You can't scare me; I taught High School for 32 years!" You dear lady cannot be scared that is for sure! I could not teach because I would be in jail for doing something like this.
I saw the jets fly over. It was awe inspiring. I forgot they were doing it, and almost peed on myself they scared me so badly. SWMBO got to see the train coming through College Station.
I attended a "fly-by" memorial service-an uncle had served in the Air Force. Quite a performance they do!!!
Well I finished my son and daughter in-law's Christmas gift ... their 1976 Magnavox console. Before .... Well the speakers were missing, the record player seized, radio unresponsive, and the 8 track was .... well, an 8 track. Completed .... With a Technics tuner / amp from the 80's (donated from a coworker), an NEC CD player from 87 (Craigs List), pair of Sony 3 way speakers (Craig's list) and a new Audio Technica turntable (Amazon). BTW I recovered the speakers with new fabric. Sounds GREAT!
I went with my brother in law to pickup a custom built table for his entry way for his house. It was insanely heavy, but managed. I eveb taught him how to tie down aoad so you don't lose it.
Well, maybe not manly, buuuuuuttttt, kind of dadly. Since nobody else wanted to do it, i stepped up, and helped make Christmas cookies. I showed my 12 yr old daughter, and her friend, how to make Christmas cookies from scratch. We cut them out, and also decorated them, with icing and sprinkles. About 30 cookies. Next, I helped them with the Gingerbread house, after it collapsed.
My mother arrived in town, for the Christmas Holiday, and brought 14 kitchen knives to sharpen, they hadn't been sharpened in 20-30 years. It's going to be a long day.

Being a great dad is more manly that building a house or working on a tractor any day! The effects are felt more deeply and last a lifetime. You done better than good ....... that's GREAT! God bless!
I used glue & pipe insulation foam to turn a file box into a sewing machine case. I suppose it would have been manlier if I could have made it work with duct tape, but I just couldn't get the pipe foam to stay put that way.
