I didn't strangle my coworker when he was too stupid to poor piss out if a boot, if the instructions were written on the heel.
I got to play amateur plumber. Pipe on the inlet side of the water heater started cracking at the joint. Those newfangled press on Shark Bite fittings are a Godsend! The pipes didn't quite line up straight, which probably led to the cracking. So I replaced it with a piece of PEX tubing that's somewhat flexible. All dry so far.
Finally finished the rebuild on my 1/5 scale RC buggy. It has been in pieces for some time and I finally got to spend some time working on it.
Good job. But, since you used PVC, next to the exhaust vent, of the water heater exhaust, you might want to insulate it. I dont know if that exhaust heat might effect it. You might research it, and possibly put some copper in its place. You can flex the copper tubing, if you need it to align.
Thanks. PEX isn't the same as PVC. Higher heat tolerance, rated for 180°F. I wouldn't expect anything close to that.
Pex is lovely stuff. Saved me a ton of work redoing my bath. I've even made straight razor scales from it'
I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, and did 3 loads of laundry. This is significant deal since SWMBO is sicker than a dog with morning sickness.
@ordinaryshaver I am sorry your wife is feeling so bad, but I should also say congrats. When is she due?
Got up at 3:30 yesterday to go duck hunting for the first time in my life. Extra manly points for taking the 16ga. Only one duck, but had a great morning outdoors.
