I talked to my wife about the next time we want a vehicle is to by vintage .... to avoid the computers and engineering foolishness.
There is a trade off for sure. I love the comfort and capability of my 2014 F150. There is also a lot of them out there and a lot of repair info on the the net if needed.
I'm not that smart, and obviously a glutton for punishment. My next vehicle will be a diesel pickup. I'm thinking about enrolling in a diesel class at the local junior college.
