I grilled some burgers, did a beard line up, and shot my compound bow I preparation for deer season next weekend!
I felt as if I was lacking in manliness after reading some of these post, so I went and whipped up a shelf from old barn wood for my shaving gear. Still need to putty the screw holes, but I did a little burning with the saw to give it some saw marks.
Did the flashlight test about 15 minutes ago. Sides are tight and just a little light leaking from the hinge area. Also across the front. Not bad for mass produced from China. I also did some rough figuring. The box will accommodate 6-6.5 inch sticks. Looks like 10 across and three layers with plenty of room for the hygrometer and beads.
Season the humi after you get it dolled up. I would leave a shot glass with distilled water in for a few days or lightly wipe the sides with a damp cloth of distilled water. Wood when dry will pull humidity from anything it can. So when you place cigars in an unseasoned humi it will dry out the sticks pretty quickly. By seasoning the wood has no need to pull from the cigars. Sent from my S8+ using Tapatalk
I have s several humidors, and have seasoned each at least 1 week, prior to sticking any cigar in them.
I tried to work, on my days off, but they ordered me to take my two days off, along with others. Many looked like zombies.
