If you want to be really manly you should go to the Burger Barn http://www.theburgerbarn.net/menu.html
No thanks. I have friends who've done silly things like that before. To me, it's not worth the misery you feel after. Yeah, but it sure was tasty. Life is too short, to not enjoy a greasy triple bacon cheeseburger, now and again. "Moderation" is the key word. Or is it: "Nothing exceeds like excess"?
I ate a one pound cheeseburger at "Cheeburger, Cheeburger" at the old location on Sanibel Isl. back about 1998-1999. Got my picture on the wall and everything.
Yeah, I knew a guy who said he finished the 72 oz steak at Big Tex Steakhouse in Amarillo and was sick for three days after. I do like Whataburger though, I'll have to convince my wife to go there in the next week while our kitchen is being remodelled (not my idea).
I was at the Big Tex steakhouse, a month or so ago. Definitely entertaining. Several oil workers attempted the 72 oz challenge, and a couple of Aussie's. The skinny little Aussies finished, with time to spare. All looked sick, and ready to puke. Oh, the steaks there were tough as a boot. It was entertaining though.
I haven't been to Amarillo in over 30 years, but there used to be a much better steakhouse just a bit further west on I-40. I think it was called the Red Barn.
Oh, we only went because the whole family saw the place featured on several shows, on the food channel, as places to go and see. The kids liked it, and enjoyed the ride in the limo, with Longhorns on the hood. The place was entertaining.
I got up showered and shaved. I even got dressed in clothes, though I am starting to second guess the choice of shorts. I've only had one dose of pain meds.
This morning, I went out to shoot some arrows in preparation for tomorrows tournament. Later, back home, I watered the lawn.
