What Manly Things Did You Do Today?

According to the Post Office, the Spanish Cedar should be here sometime tomorrow. I've got the hygrometer and the humidifier from Heartfelt Industries, so all I have to do is cut and mount the cedar and move on to the seasoning process.
I still say it would've been easier to buy one. Though the next one will go a lot smoother. Yeah, I'm already thinking that I'm gonna need more room.

My first attempt at a straight razor shave. Was an acceptable shave, not as smooth as I had hoped for but it was acceptable. Struggled with which way to hold the razpr or certain parts of my face so it took me forever but I felt a sense of accomplishment. I did have a little bit of irritation on my jaw line.

Good job! Stay with it and it gets better.

 

I only nicked myself once which I was happy about. Funny thing was I wasn't actually shaving when I did it, I was rotating the razor because I couldn't decide which way to hold it for a certain part of my face.

Tried a little against the grain as well but didn't push the limit too much. I probably should have tried with a little less growth but it worked.

My wife and I have made a decision to move back north. As much as we look forward it; uncertain changes throws my stomach for a loop.

 

My worst injuries have been when I got careless landing the razor. I've learned to always know where the edge is and slow down. It becomes second nature after a while. It's been a long time since I've had a significant bleeder. Have fun!

Marinate liberally in Veg before smoking. 12 hours for beef or chicken. Less desirable cuts, like goat or penguin, as long as 48. Remove from marinade and place under car seat for three days... Then smoke as normal.

Take a marinated penguin and a cedar plank and put it in a smoker and smoke at 225 degrees for 12 hours. When the penguin is no longer recognizable, remove the penguin and board from the smoker carefully. Wrap the penguin in foil and then throw it in the trash and eat the board!
