I changed the transmission in a stripper's pick up. Then wiped my hands off on my shirt. No wait. That wasn't me. I'll keep working at it.
I bought, delivered and setup a power reclining chair for my wife's grandmother who is in Alzhimers care. I didn't mind doing it, and I'm happy she is happy, I just wish my sister in law and her husband cared enough to at least OFFER to help . Even with my bad back, and twisted hip I still got it to her. (I know it isn't right to complain about others, but when it comes to family I take it personally)
I finally heard SWMBO tell me that I ACTUALLY loaded the dishwasher correctly! I knew all those days of playing Tetris would come in handy.
I pinned a straight razor this morning and have the blade going straight (no pun intended) down the middle, which can be a challenge.
Finished building a shaving brush as a gift. Repaired a speaker (it had a tear in the paper cone) in my son’s console stereo and temporarily wired them up to test their sound. All sounds good; Thursday I’ll see about permanent wiring them and start the wiring on the turntable.
Bought a (possibly unnecessary) portable generator against the possibility of the Jersey Shore getting hit by another Sandy.
I honed two 100 + year old Straight Razors today, and shaved with one i had done a full on restoration on. Perfect shave.
Took a hot bath in the epsom salts I got for free by answering a survey from my internet provider for an Amazon gift certificate. Bought some quality t shirts on Amazon https://flipboard.com/@bestgoodini/top-20-best-selling-t-shirts-bnt0hrrgy Read a library book for entertainment.
Worked on the locking mechanism of a folding knife. I wasn't comfortable that it would stay locked open and ground a little groove in the blade for the lock to snag. Went on to sharpen the knife, which had no bevel set, and turned it into a confetti maker.
I changed the battery terminal connectors, on a battery, on my 2006 Dodge 2500 Diesel truck. Big thick cables, what a pain. Also replaced, were several small accessory wire connectors, that attached to the battery. I was starting to have several gremlins pop up, because of one terminal, and it wouldnt start this afternoon. So, it had to be done. Afterwards, the new connectors cured all issues.
Work on 1960's Wurlitzer console stereo. Replaced speaker wire, disconnected original receiver and now only using it as facade, installed Yamaha RX-700U receiver, and reinstalled BSR turntable. Looks and sounds great!
Well, now, you cannot just tease us with that and not show picture can you?? Pics, pics, pics, pics!!!!
