Wow, I must have really over slept. I even got the stereo indicator light at the base of the console to function. The only down side is now my older son want one for his birthday. Cost ... Console ..... Free on Craig's list Yamaha receiver ..... $20 Craig's list Miscellaneous parts .... ~$20 Ace hardware and my electronics bin. Results .... one very happy 23 year old birthday boy.
A co-worker gave me a Technics receiver and CD player. I cleaned up the receiver (inside and out) and tried it out. Another keeper!
Yesterday I was looking for a console on Craig's list and saw a freebie TV stereo console. I called to see it / pick it up and set a time to do so. After discussing it with my younger son; we decided it would require WAY too much work, so called, apologized and cancelled on meeting (she was very understanding). Five minutes later she texted me, asking if I'd be willing to take it away for $40. Feeling a little guilty, I told her I could do so and went to pick it up. Today (with forty dollars more in my pocket) I disposed of said TV stereo console in my dumpster. with my sons help. I was able to salvage the turntable (as a back up) prior to disposing. Not sure how manly this was, but it kept us busy.
Yesterday built fire pit, built fire in it, cooked supper on fire with iron skillet and titanium pots And Fixed grandsons go cart (air up tires, clean carb out, charge up battery) so he could ride it. It was a good day Very good day Edit Almost forgot.. Had a wonderful 2 pass shave with my 1912 gem junior to start the day. yes a very good day indeed tp
Yesterday, I took 36 shots at my target and didn’t miss a single one (or even shoot any outside the 8-ring.)
That time of year Dropping dead trees, these are all about 60-80 feet tall Some fun A few more to go before first snow That is going to make for a great bonfire soon Yeppers I had to Touchup the Chainsaw Blade too hehehehe
I got a new power tool; the WORX HydroShot. It’s a handheld pressure washer. Of course it hasn’t the power of a full-sized one, but for a small home, it does the job. Now I just have to go out & get a toolbox to store it.
That’s the lower setting; fine for watering or misting plants. The higher setting is 320 PSI, which scrubbed the dirt off my deck box, quite well.
