I have seen "learning how to function as an adult" described as "adulting". Real adults know that "adult" is not a verb.
The other one that used to annoy the heck out of me out there was "heyna?" Which was a local contraction of "Ain't it so?"
oh, speaking of sports phrases I hate.....why is a "team" now called a "program"? How about getting real silly and calling it a "menu"? But to be serious, I think "franchise" makes more sense.
adulting...kidding...bad joke, but hey, it's the best I can do on short notice. But just to show you I paid attention in class... Wouldn't adulting be used as an adjective rather than a verb if someone said "he is adulting..."
Adulting could also be the present progressive of the verb "to adult." The infinitive form is rarely used, as you can see. Tho, I suspect Sara's objection is to the gerund form.
Unless you're getting $0.01 back; which turns into nothing here as the penny has been discontinued in Canada. Therefore no real excuse to say cent, EVER!
Their the other teams, you know like the team that plays against the globetrotters. Everyone knows who is being referred to, when one says America's team.
