Got the unmarked, shoulderless blade from the $1.25 lot up and running. Feels very vintage German.

Very happy with the edge off the Thuringian on this razor. I guess I could say best shave from a sub $1 razor I’ve ever had. :)

One of a Cape 2000 pair scaled in honey horn by Alfredo a few years back. The 2000 is a little lighter and thinner than the far more common Cape 1000, very thinly ground and a pleasure to shave with. The 2000s remind you more of a German hollow than a Japanese. Soap was the superb ABC hard soap, lathered with a little M&F Blonde Badger which has a really good knot in it, it will lather anything but likes to shed a hair once in a while. A dab of the equally superb ABC almond balm finished things off, and a little spritz of Floris JF from the travel set made the start of the day special.

Had a very close a fairly comfortable shave with this European Straight.I am gone to refresh the edge a little. My against the grain pass had to much resistance for my liking. Not sure of Country of origin. If I had to guess Austria or Germany. rps20191021_171135_618.jpg

Dovo Astrale... Geo F Trumper rose soap, a big ol Omega boar and a superb shave...first time with the soap and not overly impressed, great scent, but nothing superb about the cushion or glide factor...also did not jotice any great feel to my skin after the shave so applied trumper skin food...now that WAS good...liking it a lit.

Had a wonderful shave with this French blade.Love the feel of the Sheffield Steel that was used to make the blade.I honed the blade on a J-Nat and Finished on a Translucent Arkansas stone. The edge removed whiskers with little effort and felt smooth as silk.
