Do you know much about the Demascara? I found one of these out antique shopping and I haven't been able to find out anything about it... Is it a quality brand?

    Glad the Filly met expectations!

Maiden shave myself for the Joe Chandler. Could tell it had been a while since the edge was touched up but still a nice shave :).

Starting off Halloween week with some fun... I do like the smell of Hallows.

Catching up, Sunday and todays SR of use. Top is the 5/8 Salamander concave grind while the bottom is the 6/8 Geneva. Funny that the Salamander tugged on 36 hours of growth, but still produced a excellent result. This made easy work for the Geneva this AM.

Had a wonderful shave with this English blade.Razors edge was super keen and smooth thanks to Alfredo and his J-Nat aka doc226 over at Badger and Blade. He honed the blade a few years ago and its still going strong .Probably 30 shaves on blade since honing .Love the smile .Makes for a very efficient shave .Had to use this soap from the UK for a proper pairing of Soap and Blade .;)

Shave #40 on the Filly 14 Sub Cero edge longevity test. Definitely not as smooth as 20 shave ago, but that’s to be expected. But the shave was still very good, close and comfortable.

BTW, when I was posting about that Aesop bowl which is fairly pricey for what it is at $25 (though it should last forever), I forgot to mention that a Sierra cup is very close in size and shape, and you can get one for $7 and change at Amazon. It should be just as good, I’ll have hunt mine up, I think that it’s stored in the attic. They’re really not very good hiking cups by todays standards.

Very very nice shave, with a German made razor. I had a 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues. This is a fine shaving razor.

Razor- Geo Wostenholm & Son, "Pipe Razor". Solingen Germany.
    Brush- Omega 10098 Boar
    Soap- AOS The Kingsman, "Bourbon".
    Aftershave- Shulton Old Spice

They were excellent for burning the lips. Not sure how they got so popular.

Never saw myself as a leather scent guy... but this smell seemed to transport me back in time... just seemed right to be using this old straight razor. Now I do assume their brush would probably be more traditional. :)
