Very nice, comfortable shave. Finished off the Apache Red then the Strata. Have a good one.

First go with the newly-honed W&B wedge. A real pain to get the bevel to pop, but boy, when it did, this razor took a wicked edge! A very smooth shave followed...:happy088:
Honing sequence: Chosera 1k (long time!) > Norton 4k > Apache Red > Apache Strata > Strop linen & leather

Lou, the Red feels very similar to the Strata. I used slurry on both, then diluted to just water through several progressions. Both felt reminiscent of the Echer— thick, smooth slurry with a very slick feel.
Both were a pleasure to use; the red on the sharpening stone holder; the strata in the palm of my hand.

Wade & Butcher wedge, 13/16. Black horn, lead wedge, barber's notch. Just the second shave with this particular razor, but they've both been excellent. Standard pre-shave strop on linen/shell. The point is somewhat less muted than some of the other notched Sheffields I've used, so it's a good one for trimming around the beard too.

I dropped the Wacker last night and the edge had a snaggle toothed appearance, so back to the hones. The shave was a little lacking this morning so another tune up will be coming up. Luckily no real damage was done. Have a good one.

George Wostenholm 8/8 Pipe Razor….As I mentioned in the SOTD thread, I've waited over 8 months to finally shave with this blade. Finally got some new scales on it and honed it up for its initial shave.
It turns out it was well worth the wait! What a great shave! The big full hollow blade just sings through the whiskers. :happy088: This one may be a keeper…..

I've never tried a Hart. Are they all 1/4 or 1/2 hollow? How do they compare feel and shave-wise to vintage razors you've used or is a good edge, a good edge no matter the razor?

They are all 1/4 and beefy razors. They have a really good edge that lasts a long time. They do have some quality control issues right now it seems but They come shave ready. Nothing needed. I have yet to hone one that really needed it. I like the shaves they produce.
