    1-2014-11-14 06.37.24.jpg Freidel Koch 13/16 one of a 7 day set honed on the 1k,4k,8k,12k then Apache. Stropped on pressed wool with cr ox, then linen and leather - it don't get any better than this. The Apache rocks
    Soap - Razorock The Freedberg - a nice lather with a clean scent

    So how much better are the apache stones compared to C12k?

    The apaches I use are faster (more efficient) than the C12k. All will get you there, but the C12 may require more work (i.e. a slower cutter/polisher).

    Thanks. I have a couple that are closer to the polished appearance that's typical, but I do tend to prefer the way the old steel looks. Plus I figure it's easy enough to polish the old off, but once it's gone, it's gone for good. Or at least for longer than I'll be around to appreciate it, so I keep it on some.

    Used the w&b 13/16 on left restored by Nate Zowada - desert ironwood scales/ tomorrow it will be the 7/8 w&b in red acrylic scales blade reground by Nate - fantastic shavers both

    Excellent shave this morning. Retuned the Wacker, also a couple of future boar wannabes. Have a good one.

    Italian Solingen Sette Bello 7 13/16 - another razor that I finished on the new Apache I got from my Secret santa - an incredible shave
    Soap - Razorock Son Of Zeus - fantastic lather and smells so good

    Packwood 13/16 this morning. Very nice indeed, and the carnauba over tung oil finish seems to holding up nicely too. Have a better Friday everyone...;)

    Joseph Rodgers & Sons 6/8 full hollow; despite the fact this razor is a challenge for me to use because of the distinct blade shape (HEAVY, thick spine, smiling edge and sharp point), I do enjoy using it. The thumb notch is a real plus. I just need to be fully awake before dragging the keen edge across my face….:)
