I own four Japanese razors with Western grinds, I am pleased with them all. They steel is excellent and the grinds are very well done.

Saturday morning and the first shave with the white Filly 14 Novodur. It’s a singer, and the shave was exactly what Filly fans would expect with a fine jnat edge, BDBS and the edge is a velvet squeegee. Cream, balm, and EdT were Christian Dior Eau Sauvage, and a Simpsons 58 did the cream carburetion.

I picked up this M.E. Rappenhagen Diamondine from another forum the other day. I was looking for a cheap razor to practice honing that wouldn’t upset me if I ruined it. This one seemed to fit the bill. Good steel, a simple shape and nothing terribly special. Then it arrived last night and it’s easily the sharpest blade I’ve ever used. So, rather than a practice razor, it’s now kind of a reference razor.

Wade & Butcher “For Barbers Use”... well, what’s left of one. :)
This is my $1 interpretation of W&B’s “The Ottoman Egyptian And Royal Windsor Razor.”

It’s beautifully ugly in my eyes. And much better than I got it, if you remember.

It will be a future grinding project, when I actually get a grinder. :)

Also started my 2nd go at creating this shape in the resto thread today... much better donor blade this time.
    Enjoy your shave.

Case Red Imp 133 this morning. Fresh back from getting some new scales.

Also used the B&M Amazelnut today. Jury is still out on the scent.

Picking up on @Keithmax theme (love the Omega, I have my dad’s Omega), 6/8 Manaslu M500 Yasuki Steel 2, one of a pair. Soap was MdC rose lathered with a Keyhole 4, and a splash of D. R. Harris Pink finished up a very gentlemanly BDBS shave.

Fresh off the stones. Fantastic, and noisy 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. This is a thin ground razor, that acts thick, because the steel is so hard and stiff. Not one issue. Fantastic razor. I love this brush too, by @oscar11 . He sure can make a beautiful brush.

Razor- F.Herder's 45. Bone scales. Solingen Germany.
Brush- Custom synthetic knotted brush, by @oscar11 .
Soap- More for You. From Turkey
    Aftershave- Florida Water.

No picture. I used a faux frameback edego.

@DaltonGang how is the turkish shaving soap? Is it something like arko or derby?

    Like Arko, but turbocharged.

Shave #71 with the Filly 14 Sub Cero, great shave, still going well. The edge has not diminished much since say shave 30 or so, it’s not fresh but it’s quite competent and seems to be staying that way. Soap was MdC fougere lathered with a Simpsons 57, and a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica finished up.

Portland Razor Company “Siren” this morning along with this tub of Trismegistus I’m working on finishing. Good shave, though the Siren is getting close to needing a refresh.

Getting to wear you dad's Omega, it doesn't get any cooler than that.
