    Lovely razors all, gentlemen.

I’m doing a little catchup, red theme today. 6/8 Kikuboshi 45, soap was vintage Klar Kabinette lathered with a Tulip 3 two band, and Thayers Rose petal finished up a great and rosy shave.

The last 2 shaves were #111 and #112 with rhe Filly Sub Cero.

Last shave before sending it to its new owner. It's a great shaver, but I never could get used to the position of the thumbnotch.

I want that Kikuboshi. I would actually prefer that over the Tanifuji/Spalding only because I have a soft spot for Kikuboshi as it was my first Japanese razor and my white whale until I received it as a gift. Same thing for ERN. My first straight was an ERN and now I have a soft spot for ERN razors.

I want one of the Tanifuji/Spalding razors as well but yeah I have alerts set up on ebay for that Kikuboshi.

So since I've been dealing with this f******g med issue going haywire lately. I am trying to keep to shaving every other day, with the goal of eventually being able to shave every day. Tonight was a quick shave. I still enjoyed it, though it wasnt as comfortable after I was finished. Went a little too fast and have a little razor burn.

    Razor - Special Kikuboshi

Strop - Latigo 3" with Flax Linen

Brush - Heritage Collection Ever Ready 3 Step

Soap - B&M Seville (not sure if I spelled it right)

Aftershave - Lucky Tiger (I learned my lesson about using alcohol based AS when you have razor burn)

I love shaving and hate that my medical issues have been making it hard to shave as often I would like. Hell I hate a bunch about this med condition.

The Kikuboshi had a little hump on the spine on the show side, I posted about it over on SRP. It’s fine now. They come up fairly often, Takeshi had some a couple of years ago in both the red and the green. I’d like a green one too. they do seem to be spendy for what they are. Also note that at this time, Japan Post is not shipping to the US because of a lack of planes flying, so there is that to consider if you find one in Japan. Shipping from the EU is slow too.

Today’s shave, Le Grelot 355. Stamped 5/8, it is more like an 11/16. Very nimble razor that takes an exceptional edge, as most Le Grelot do.

Tonight was the Solingen honed by Glenn and a brush from Graydog. The soap is very nice gift from a PIF, which has a wonderful orange scent. I don't do many aftershaves when I work in the office, but since I am working from home, I enjoyed the Captain's Nor'Easter, which I love.

The alternating Crown and Fleur-de-lys pattern is really stunning... favorite design element of this razor for me. :eatdrink047:
