Still moving through my 5/8ths and 11/16ths. Today was my favorite 1941 Russian. Fabulous as always :happy036:

A new to me Mastro Livi for the last three nights, but this was the first great shave with it.

Had to perform some heel/shoulder surgery to make it work. Not too noticeable... I really like this blade.

That is the first time I have seen a Henckels near wedge, mostly I have seen full hollow blades. Nice.

    Another great find.

Yes sir I'm starting to notice that Henckels near wedges are few and far between. This is the first straight razor I learned to shave with and it is my favorite razor. Such a smooth comfortable shave every time I use it. I'm glad I bought this one and didn't pass it up.

The razor will go back to the hones. My stubble is gone, but it was too much work and the rewards were alum and as sting.

Yup, I still have some 5/8ths and 11/16ths to work through. Today’s choice - another Russian. This one from the 1970s with an inviting smile. The smile made working with the difficult spots much easier - a very nice shave :happy036:

The Proraso Red Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #224 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Weck Sextoblade with a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Taking the Warburton Lisbon stubtail out for a drive, it shaved as well as any modern razor and better than most. The steel in this razor is hard and fine grained. Amazing for likely 230+ years old. Soap was MdC agrumes lathered with a Rooney beehive, and Myrsol Agua de limon finished up a perfect shave. Nicely done Mr Warburton.

That’s fantastic. I have a very old stubless - likely pre Cast Steel. Fun to have but only a mediocre shave. :sport026:

Another Russian with a slight smile in the 5/8ths and 11/16ths rotation. Simply a wonderful shave :happy036: The Castle Forbes 1445 is new to me. Very subtle but pleasant scent with the wonderful lather you’d expect from Castle Forbes. :happy088:

Friday’s shave... Schmachtenberg Magnetic Blue Steel
This is my second Schmachtenberg and both had a serious spike point. Kept the other one intact, but rounded this one off as it had a weird frown about a quarter of the way down from the point.

Much more friendly razor now. :)
