Still feeling out the new user-grade Novodur, and I’m concluding that it is one very fine shaving razor, as good as any 14 that I have. Soap wqs MdC fougere lathered with a Simpsons 58, and Myrsol AB finished up a dlolphin-smooth shave.

Charles frères a Nimes french frameback. This is a rebranded Leresche. It is a fine shaver.

I used l'occitane cade shaving soap. Selected brush was a semogue 1305 boar. I did read somewhere that for the cade soap you should start with a slightly damp brush and just add water until the lather has the right consistency.

I got a nice stable onctieux lather. I just need to load the brush a little longer.

Nice day gentlemen and I enjoy your picture's. I will add mine if I have the time.

Joseph Rodgers 6/8 with fancy spine and streaked horn scales by Alfredo. Cream was T&H Apsley lathered with a Tulip 3 two-band. A little IC balm finished up.

I’m impressed with the Apsley cream performance, it lathers and feels a lot like the AdP v3 cream. I used a large pea-sized amount and had enough lather for two shaves and the lather quality and post shave are really good. It’s been said that Apsley is a new base and I can believe it.

Thanks, Steve! I don’t own any Swedish razors yet. Is there a particular one you might recommend? I’m not interested in any Framebacks.

    T. Hessenbruch & Co
Did a few Charnley Forest edges last weekend that I’m interested in using.

This is a 15/16”, very thinly ground razor. T. Hessenbruch was based out of Philadelphia and imported razors from Germany in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s.

This razor was made for PA & S Small (Philip Albright and his brother Samuel), who owned businesses in York, PA.
Really enjoyed this razor & soap combo.
    Enjoy your shave.
