This puma has a nice edge. The shave was very close

 

First, a user Novodur yesterday, soap was Cyril Salter lavender tallow-first hard soap lathered with a Simpsons 59 and Myrsol Agua Balsamica finished up.

Today, Filly Muleta with IC Mango lathered with a M&F Alibaba 1, IC Rhubarb balm finished up.

This Russian was King of the Den for quite some time. But now I have so many excellent razors I don’t know that I can say I have an absolute favorite. It had been a little while since I picked it up and it reminded me why I like it so much. Great reduction, smooth, and easy to maneuver - with just enough of a smile to make a difference

Very enjoyable shave this afternoon with one my midi-sized Lunds. They are my smallest razors and today’s shave was top notch. Then again, I only had a day of stubble instead of the normal two or three.

It has been several days, since the last shave, so, I broke out this newly Bought, Restored, and Honed razor. It cut through the heavy beard, like a hot knife through butter. BBS results. This is one fantastic shaving blade. I have several blades coming from Little Valley NY, and all are excellent razors. This is my first CASE Bros.

Razor- Case Bros. "Tested". Little Valley NY. Full Hollow. Aluminum Scales
Brush- B400 By Tom (@twhite ). Omega Boar knot
Soap- AOS "OUD". great scent. Newly acquired.
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Buffalo Nickel decanter.

Finish: Armaff Tres Nuit

George Packwood was known for his razor strops and pastes, outsourcing his namesake razors. Died in 1810 but can find adverts for his razors into the 1830’s from what I’ve seen.

The smile of this razor really adds to the enjoyment of the shave, and the Coticule worked well with the steel.

I’ve missed a couple of days posting including a nice shave with an 1830s Rodgers ‘Refined Steel’, but that’s what getting the Xmas shopping and cards out will do.
