This Sunday Shaver was a Christmas gift from my wife one year because she knew how much I liked my first one.

Trouble was it never shaved as good regardless of who honed it.

Now it shaves better than its predecessor. I wasn’t supposed to be able to do that on crowned surface hones. Guess I’ll be flunking out of honing school, but at least I have a fresh love for my straights.

Just a close smooth shave that made me happy.

Question for all you straight razor users. I know the SE safety razor users have “micromatic Monday's”, is there enough owners of Maher and Grosh straight razor out there to possibly start a “Maher-Grosh Monday’s?
I own 2 Maher-Grosh razors, and reach for them both often. They are both great shavers.
    Just a thought.

    Anyways today’s shave.
    04-05-21
    Arko April continues!!!
Maher and Grosh “The anchor Razor”
    Arko soap
    Boar brush
    Lilac vegetal aftershave

It gave a great shave tonight, but definitely needs a touch up on the stones. It pulled just a little, towards the end of my shave. No worries, she will be back in tiptop shape in no time. [IMG]

Tuesday morning shave, CVH 923F. Quite solid blade but shaves really well. A little bit like the Thomas Turner in behaving. Quite silent due to the shape more like a axe than a razor.

Following up my last shave on #2 Sunday Shaver with #1 Sunday Shaver.

I’ve used this less than #2 because it has always been my benchmark for performance. It sports a coticule edge that demands love. I don’t get this good with my coticule, so I’ve got some work to do there.

    Great shave. Great software.

My second straight razor and my first nice one. This is the razor that started me down the rabbit hole, a Dovo Bismarck 2.

Diamante is one of the brands of ERN.

ERN had a lot of different brand names. And they are fine shavers.

    This is mine Diamante.

Lovely birthday shave this morning. Last night the Lakers won, the Dodgers won (and Kershaw was super sharp), and Kathy and I got our second Covid shots. Great set up to the big 65 today. The shave was everything you could ask for :happy036:

    Hot water preparation
    Argan Oil PSO
    Savile Row 3824
    Castle Forbes Lavender Shaving Cream
    Rigarazor 8/8
Castle Forbes Lavender After Shave Balm

    Mastro Livi travel kit
    Suds: Mike’s Natural Wild Honeysuckle
    Splash: Razorock Irish Countryside
    Balm: The Sudsy Soapery “Rain”

Cool kit that packs like a Russian doll:
CrOx into the brush handle, brush into the strop handle, the handle relocates in between the loom material, the razor also packs inside the loom in the smaller pouch, and then all that goes in the kit with scissors and a comb... really cool design.

    Sorry, had to recycle the pics;

    6/8 RikiShia

I had a two day growth. Thought the weight of this blade would be the best option for a smooth clean shave.

25 laps on the linen. 50 on the leather.

A hot water soak. Lathered and ready to see if I assumed correctly.

And boy did I. Like a champ this razor easily removed the extended growth. Clean, smooth shaving from this excellent razor.

a Witch Hazel cleanse finished up the experience.

How critical is the thickness of the lather?

Absolutely perfect shave, with a Newly Acquired, Restored, and Honed razor. The Eschers Thuringian stone put a wonderful edge on this razor, and it went through 3 weeks of heavy beard, like it wasnt even there. This brand never disappoints me, and is one of my favorites.

    Razor- C-MON "Special" Solingen Germany
Brush- @oscar11 creation, with synthetic knot
    Soap- ARKO
    Aftershave- Florida Water.
