C.V. Heljestrand 15/16 No 140, soap was ABC hard soap lathered with a 2-band Tulip 3, and the AS was homebrew SMN Tobacco Toscano body lotion diluted 50/50 with distilled water with a few drops of IPA (that’s isopropyl alcohol, not India Pale Ale).

I am glad to see some new shavers, have come over to The Dark Side of shaving. Once mastered, its hard to go back, to the DE, and other types of razors. Next step, learning to hone your own blades well. Some have tried, some think they can, some think the latest and greatest gizmo stones will make your skills better, but keep it basic, and keep it minimal, until skills are mastered.
You are on the right path @Zykris .

    I think that is me.

    I totally agree.

Be good and do as you are told.

Been enjoying the shaves that I’ve been getting with my set up. All my razors do a pretty good job sat what they do well. Only one is giving me trouble and I’m still working on it. I will prevail.

    Dixie Master Barber straight
    Frank Shaving travel brush
    Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite (vintage)
    Royal Copenhagen cologne

Awesome lather courtesy of a new brush to the den. It is suppose to be a travel brush but it is bigger than I expected. The tube and end caps were blue but I bead blasted those and then Scotch Brighted the finish. Comparison photo of the brush with a few others from the den. T3 Trafalgar and MrEE LE #011.

I decided to get the Dixie out this morning. This is one I had honed with lapping film. While it is not there with the Diamondine it is doable. Two passes on the cheeks and three on the neck with no blood loss. The alum was barely noticeable. I actually shaved with a razor I honed and stropped. :happy093:

A little witch hazel followed by the Royal Copenhagen cologne and this one was in the bag.

Have a great Monday gentlemen.....I'll probably get about three more this week. :D

He said you have a "Gorgeous Straight" , not "Your Straight Up Gorgeous Billy". I put a Texas Drawl Accent on that. It seemed to fit.

7/8 Féret Frères Hyalin just back from Alfredo’s and freshly honed on a fine JNat, edge like butter. Soap was MdC original lavender and the AS was SMN lavender.

Féret Frères, like Gelle Frères, is still in business today, but unfortunately no more straight razors. This one was in a catalog from 1936 I believe.

You are "The Man", Billy. Nobody doubts that.
John Wayne, I'm not. He was 6'4" , I'm only 6'2" , without High Heels.

Tuesday morning shave, CVH MK No.24, I think that this razor is stainless steel in it. Could be the reason with the blue box.
    Splash Turnbull and Asser.

Figured I would join Hans with a 24…
    CVH No. 24
    Brush: Razorock
Suds: Olive Blossom Soap Co. “Flannel”
    Splash: Stirling Mountain Man
Quite the shift from the 10/8 Rodgers. :)

Nice Tom! The 24 must have been produced in a massive amount. I think I have 3 or 4 “standard” and 3 pieces 3/8”
