Filarmonica 14 Sub Cero, cream and AS were Trumper Eucris. Wonderful shave indeed, I wish that Trumper would up their game with the hard soaps, many of their scents are really nice (though Eucris seems to be rather polarizing).

Victor Creazzi 7/8. He named it “Bone Mosaic”. It’s a SanMai constructed, pattern-welded Damascus. His process results in apiece of 1095 steel for his edges which are truly amazing! I’ve been maintaining the great edge with Howard Schlecter’s 4-sided "Constroption” which features 4 graduated pasted sides (0.5 microns, .25 microns, 0.1 microns, and 0.05 microns). I’ve been amazed at how well it’s been maintaining my edges.

Vintage Thiers Issard Bijou de France, cream and AS were AdP. A perfect shave for a warm Sunday morning.

Beautiful razor, Glen! I got the slate you recommended from Jeff. It’s 7 x 2.5. I’m looking forward to trying it.

Thanks! Unlike many other contemporary makers Vic makes his own billets from scratch by sandwiching 1095 and 15N20 steels. According to my son who’s an aspiring bladesmith, Vic’s SanMai billet technique is uniquely his own and represents true forging mastery!

Thanks, Scott! Vic delivers his razors with an amazing edge. I know some of the bumpy hones guys argue that no one can hone a straight that’s as sharp as a Feather Super AC blade. They just haven’t shaved with one of Vic’s razors! I own two! This one and a shorty, both of which possess an edge every bit as sharp as a Feather Super!

I just cant help it-those Filarmonicas are just so intoxicating with their fluted scales and semi-transparent acrylics. Like an Asian girl with long hair. Please don't tell me that they are bad shavers. I want to keep the fantasy alive.
