Cape 1000, soap was ANC new version lathered with a Keyhole 3, and the balm was ABC almond (in the Cointreau bottle).

You have some very beautiful razors, Steve. My son, Ben, who has a huge Japanese razor collection thinks very highly of Cape razors!

Thank you Jeff! Cape razors are some of the best, they are ground like Tanifuji which some Cape razors are, like the Cape Kennedy.

Thanks Jeff... but I think we are all pretty envious of that SK tribute. It does bring a SMILE to one's face. :)

    Using my xray vision,
I can see that the number which is partially obscured by the scales
    is 1851.

Actually, I recalled seeing an entry for Stille in the...

    Official descriptive and illustrated catalogue / Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations, 1851 ;
by authority of the Royal Commission.

...and I figured Stille would probably have a commemorative date
    on their tang stamp.

St Joanis, a fine shaving razor indeed. The company began in the 1870s IIRC and I’d put this one around 1880-1900, but just a guess. The company is still in business today as Alain St Joanis, and if you want a nice set of flatware for the price of a car, they can fix you up and it’s truly beautiful hardware. Soap was MdC original in brain bowl lathered by a Keyhole 4, and a splash of Myrsol AB topped os a fine shave.

Friday shave, Klas Törnblom 11/16”. Really nice shave. Successfully honed, however it is a little bit to hard that blade for my skin. There is no flexibility whatsoever despite the grind. I keep it anyway due to its rareness.
    Splash Floris Turnbull and Asser
Now it’s time for the evening dress!

Steve! I must correct you regarding your statement about Eskilstuna makers. The razors where made in Stockholm ( Capital of Sweden ). Eskilstuna is about 80 miles west from Stockholm. The company Stille is now situated in Torshälla where I was born and raised. The town of Torshälla received their City Rights in 1317.. and there has been a Steelworks since 1400. Long time before Columbus by the way

    Yes.
The mention of Albert Stille in the 1851 exhibition was as a manufacturer
and two out of his three entries were razors.

Thanks Jeff, yes it was a magnificent gathering, a reception in grade 4. I didn’t find any translation to English but it is a community like the Freemason.
Not a problem with the Klas, perhaps isn’t my technique suitable for hard razors or it’s my skin that is to soft?

Thank you Jeff, the St Joanis is a favorite frameback.

Tanifuji Spalding, soap was Asylum SV Colonia b4.3 lathered with a Paladin Keyhive in lava. A splash of AdP AS topped off a truly great shave.
