RAZOR: Hoshi Tombo 8000 6/8 (Mug), Rex Ambassador (Dome)
BLADE: Feather DE (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Rooney Ebony Pure Badger
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Williams Aqua Velva (Spanish Version)

 

Lovely Filly, Oscar, and yes, I agree; they’re great shavers!

 

YW Jeff, I often wonder if Takagi Riki made other razors.

Robuso 216 Silver Steel by Perfectworks (Tanifuji), soap was the cheap and classic La Toja, and a splash of Myrsol Blue topped off a great shave.

 

Tuesday morning shave, CVH MK No.31 with Ivory scales. Smooth as a peach.

A big Filarmonica Doble Temple, almost 8/8 and a singer up today. It sings on the hone strop, and face. Doap was vintage Yardley lavender and a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica finished up a perfect shave.

SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Thayers WH. Finished with Old Spice Fresh Lime.

7/8 Herder Ace of Spades


I used this razor yesterday and I had to hit it with Crox during the shave. I used it tonight to check the sharpness and I had a good shave, but not my usual great shave. I probably needed to reapply Crox on my strop. I made a note to do a light honing on my lapping films before I use this razor again.

 

Ain’t it though?

PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: RazoRock Rubberset Replica with Synth Knot
SOAP: PAA Coconut Bay
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Thayers WH. Finished with Coconut Bay AS Splash.

 

Filarmonica 14 Sub Cero, soap was ABC previous version lathered with a SOC. A splash of Myrsol Plastic Shave finished up.

Friday morning shave, Ralf Aust Rosewood 5/8”. A little bit tired this morning, a little cut on my throat.. I am still alive . Some Alum and the day is saved.
