Wade and Butcher, cream and AS were AdP, and a SOC boar did the lathering. It doesn‘t get much better, a perfect shave.

I was in the move to shave tonight and Artie got the call. I haven't used this monster since Oct 12 so it was time to do so. Surprisingly, I didn't lose my touch with this magnificent razor. It gave me a near BBS with 2 1/2 passes without any red liquid oozing out nor irritation. Alum feedback was nonexistent so it really was a close comfortable shave. Finished with the witch hazel and the Spice Aftershave. It truly was a nice, relaxing and enjoyable night. Good night gents.

Outta sight - that razor is always a treat to see, really something special. :happy093:

Is it just the massive proportions or is the blade shorter than a more modestly sized razor? :signs002:

Thanks Tom. It is well balanced. Despite its size, I find it is very maneuverable.

Thanks Karl. The blade is 3 inches long which I believe is standard for most straights. BTW, it's an ArtRazor 1000 and I corrected the typo. Yuri Kravchenko is the maker and he is in the Ukraine.

Back to the Rifuto 815 Silver Steel, what a great shaver. The edge is from the chocolate kiita. AdP up again with the SOC.

Japanese straights have a great rep. That's a nice setup Steve.

Nice shave today. I don't know why but I hoard some shaving stuff. I have 4 or 5 shaves left with my Xpec and I'm just going to use it up. No more hoarding.
    Sorry can't upload pic....

Nice shave with the Klas Tornblom Tuesday:

And today was the first go with the new to me Robert Williams custom: 2AB2E472-868F-4E86-9506-EC2C95305DA5.jpeg
Really enjoying the details of this one: shoulderless, tapered blade, smooth curve of the tang and monkey tail, and beautiful scales. From about 10 years ago, it seems like a homage to the De Pew razor.
    Happy Thanksgiving.

Sorry for the delay in responding, Hans, but I’m a big fan! The three hollow grind 4/8, my CVH, Neistrom and Tornblom are fabulous shavers. I’m not quite so excited about my two Swedish Faux framebacks, the JA Hellberg and the Dahlgren. The jury is still out on those two. A knowledgeable friend says I may need to hone them without taping the spine, my usual procedure. I’ll touch them up without tape and see if that makes a difference.

Beautiful razors, Steve! I really like shoulderless blades. With my slight tremors, they are easier to hone.
