I’m back. In mid-September my wife left to help her parents out. I got lazy and skipped shaving a few days and eventually decided to take a break until she came back. Which she did. But it was two days until Hurricane Ian struck and we were just 35 miles or so from the eye. Sooooo, all hell broke loose which meant no shaving for me for a while.

With water restored, power, wifi, etc. it was time to break out the big gun and take off the month old beard. The big W&B was no match. The beard came off like a carpet being rolled up. Wonderful :happy036:

It does. I have had good luck with the Clauss brand.
Sorry to hear you had to deal with the hurricane but glad you got through it. And you picked the perfect blade to tear through a beard!!! :eatdrink047:

Gelles Freres rattler, cream was SMN lathered with a Zenith boar, and Fine Italian Citrus AS finished up a fine frameback Friday shave

Gelles Freres is a drugstore, or chemist as the English would call it, in Paris and is still in business today. No straights that I know of though.

Small razor, big stone - a 5/8 Cattaraugus with very fine grained, hard steel and an edge off a 4-pound Nakayama. It took a fine edge indeed. Cream was SMN lathered with a Zenith boar, both still out on deck from yesterday. D.R Harris Arlington finished up a great Saturday shave.

That is a cool connection- hadn’t thought of that, but I see it now. It is such a unique shape to a blade. :eatdrink047:
