What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

My skin has been reacting to soap and water, aftershave,...everything. Bad bumps and rash. I didn't shave for 5 or 6 days. When I did shave I used this setup. I am now using coconut oil as an after shave and shaving less often.

 

I have noticed they hold their value well any particular model?

today I split time with;
Clauss 5/8 full hollow with rounded end.
nice heavy sorta wide razor. gets real sharp, real fast. 25 passes after 10 or so on the ezi-edge. 20 passes on the bench strop before shave.

 

Any Fritz Bracht era Dovo. 1939 to 1953, I believe.

What is a ezi-edge?

I have a Pike Eze Edge. It's a nice hone to touch up edges.

today I got three passes with:
A Lohmann 4/8 full hollow. there is some German words on the blade, I can understand them. I can find nothing on this maker from Hamburg.
this blade seems nice,s bit skinny for my liking, but that may be my inexperience.

ausgesuchtes qualitalsmesser.
im hoping that doesn't mean,
you suck at quality mister.
if you know please enlighten me.

 

Speaking of words that look misspelt, today's shave incorporated the SUPREJ!

 

ausgesuchtes qualitalsmesser = Chosen Quality 'Knife' (although 'knife' may be implying it is a cutting instrument suitable for shaving)
I know nothing of the maker.
