Must be Filly day today! Filly 14 Novodur, soap was a sample of Razorock Blue stick lathered with a Rooney Victorian, and a splash of Myrsol Blue finished things up.

    C. H. Guerre à Langres rattler, soap was ABC Red Sandalwood lathered with a Zenith boar set in an oscar11 handle, and a little Floris Santal finished up a great frameback Friday.

Kunitomo Ikkansai kamisori, a pair that Alex Gilmore brought back from Japan years ago. Ikkansai was a gunmaker in the 1800s, and may have made telescopes too. These are probably quite a bit later, I’d guess early 20th century, probably before WW1. So the name could have been used by his descendants, or it could have evolved into a shop name with little to do with the original smith or his family, Just as Iwasaki razors are not made by any of the Iwasakis today. The boxes are late generic boxes.

Soap and AS were The Shave Den Blood on Steel 2019, by Stirling, a Hannah Morae clone? The brush is a Zenith Pro boar in an oscar11 handle. Good stuff!

Wonderful kami specimens Steve! Blood on Steel is a great scent. I just shaved with Tsuka which is supposedly the same iteration as BoS, but they are different. To my nose, the Blood on Steel is more sweeter than Tsuka.
