Well, it has been 5 months, since I had a full shave. It was long. I had trimmed, and shaped it, many times. So, I brought out a beefy and stiff blade. I had a 3 pass shave, that left me BBS, with a couple of weepers.

Today's shave was with some American Steel. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave, that left me BDBS. The only issue I had was that I cut my knuckle, after oiling the blade up. I had my head up my rear. Oh well, nothing a little Super Glue wont fix.

CVH No 130, soap was Stirling Spice lathered with a Simpsons 58 Manchurian. Vintage OS (just a bit, this bottle is almost perfume strength) finished up.

Hans, the Floris Special No 127 is very nice, and lasts a good while on me.

 

Féret Freres, a favorite, with all Santa Maria Novella software and. Simpsons Eagle G3 with a Shavemac Finest knot.

 

I liked the maiden voyage with the Thistle Cut so much I picked it up again today. And Scott’s American steel probably influenced me as well. This razor is sweet

Shave #14, for this fine Spanish Razor. This razor just glided across the whiskers, like they were not there. A fantastic 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues.

The blade I learned on. Good result but rough ride. I took it to the stones for a refresh so you’ll likely see it again soon so I can see how I did.
