Iberia is tops, but as you say scarce. Filarmonica is always a great shaver too.

I wish I knew. @lindyhopper66 may know something as he owned this one prior to me. Maybe he’ll have something to add :signs002:

Thanks for the information, and what is a reasonable price for Filly versus Iberia?

Others may know but I don’t since I haven’t seen any Iberias for sale - and it’s been a while since I was shopping for a big Filly. My guess is they are probably about the same price - e.g. expect to pay hundreds of dollars for a 14 (an 8/8 blade.) $300 would not surprise me as a starting point for one in good condition. Hopefully others have more recent experience and informed estimates. :chores016:

All this talk about Iberia and Filly’s led me to break out my big Filly. As usual, it did not disappoint - it’s a fine shave every time :happy036:

Oh, and the Frosted Lavender - wow - I never used a mentholated lather before and I’m hooked. Talk about a wonderful sensation, it’s great :happy093:

    Saturday Straights' Cold Water Shave

    Cold Water Rinse
    Proraso Sandalwood
    Jayaruh #444 Synthetic
    Fredrick Reynolds 5/8
    CWR
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC

The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #444 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fredrick Reynolds 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
