I used to be pretty indifferent to Cade but this new soap is pretty nice stuff. Nice shave today. Have a good one.

How do you like the strata?

    I do,
I can notice a certain keen-ness that was more difficult to achieve with the hone I was using before.
that being said, I've also been using a borrowed strop. both of which are nice addition to my setup.
I'm gonna work on a better way to hold the strata, but that sorta beside the point.

image.jpg Razor: Dubl Duck Special #1 1947-52 (rescaled)
    Merkur 34c HD 2014
    Brush: Vintage Ever-Ready 675 badger
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream: The Body Shop Maca Root cream
    Blade: Feather (3
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne

Day 5 with the Dubl Duck. Used my Bench Strop, from @gssixgun, after watching Glen's video. Did 20 laps, going slow. Lathered up the Maca and Spent extra time hydrating my beard, so I could try to get closer with the Duck. Wow, very sharp and smooth, I guess my stroping worked well, thanks Glen. Getting better and a little closer doing most of my face using both hands and adjusting my angles. finished with my Merkur and only needed 1 pass. Still working all the angles, but getting better. The videos are helping me get the angles better. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some St Barts. Y'all have a good one.

What I look forward to in the morning. Coffee and a shave. Pre-1890 Wade & Butcher with worm eaten scales. Hollow, square point, and 5/8. Brush is an old Ever-Ready with a TGN Synthetic.

I did a three pass plus touch up with no nicks, training wheels, or DE today. Strictly Straight shave, and ended up with a DFS!

A great shaver as I'm now on the 5th consecutive day of using it, this razor was already in primo shape when acquired.
A bit of polish just enhanced it's beauty! It took a very keen but smooth edge off the hones….:happy088:

Erusta Bohler Stahl 13/16 - another mind blowing razor from one of the best guys I have met on these forums. Jamie Mahoney honed and sold me this one. His work is stunning! I had an unbelievably smooth and close shave this morning
Soap - Boelles Panama 1924 - compliments of Jamie- I am typically not a Almond or sandalwood kind of guy but Jamie is making me into a convert. I love soft soaps and this one is for sure a great one
AS - LaToja splash-with such a great razor and soap today I did not know what to use as I certainly did not want to spoil such an excellent shave. LaToja is not a favorite of many and certainly not expensive but of all my splashes it gives me the most pleasingly soft and smooth face and I absolutely love the scent

I used jamies photo as I am not qualified as a photographer to do justice to this beauty

image.jpg Razor: Dubl Duck Goldedge 5/8 Round point 1947-52
    Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5)
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: TOBS Grapefruit cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, TOBS Luxury AS

I just got this Dubl Duck Goldedge back from @gssixgun, after he honed it. Wow Glen does wonderful work. My other Duck is sharp, but this blade is insanely sharp. It popped hair off my arm like I have never seen. Glen sends a checklist and note on what he used to hone this bad boy, and boy, is it shave ready! Lathered up the TOBS and spent extra time hydrating my beard, so I could try to go smother with the Duck. Wow, very sharp and smooth, thanks Glen. I like the round point a lot as It makes it easier for me to get to some of my more challenging areas of my face. Very light pressure and no pull or drag. Getting better and a little closer doing most of my face using both hands and adjusting my angles. finished with my FB and only needed 1/2 pass. Still working all the angles, but getting better. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing JB Gel. After cleanup some TOBS. This was a fun shave, and I love this Duck!
