    H. Diamond 6/8 - really a nice shaver. Best hone job I have ever seen on an ebay razor. All I did was strop
soap - Caties Santal Sensuelle mixed with DR Harris Marlborough. An excellent pair for a nice ubelather
AS - Floid Blue - this one is a go to. Love the stuff
Balm - Soap Commander Passion - another favorite

The widest blade I have shaved with is 7/8 is the shave that much different?

Yes, I think it is different, but all blade sizes and grind types can give a great shave. I love my little C V Heljestrand MK31 at around 5/8, as well. I like the feel of 7/8 and above. If the balance is right, any blade is good. I really prefer larger blades, though.

it depends on the week. I like big this week, next week maybe small. But there is something about the looks of a big blade that attracts me.Do they shave different? I think the end result is the same but getting there is different.

Well?! You can't be new to straights, switch razors and not give us a performance report! Nice razor BTW!

Also, love the bottle of " whisker whiskey "! Who, where and what?

Shave went pretty well, except for stabing myself with the spike a few times on the neck, only one of them was deep. The May 30 Day focus thread has some more details. It doesn't feel quite a close as my W&B gets. Might need a touch up on the blade, or it might be my technique.

The Holy Black makes the aftershave. Its made with actual whiskey. :happy088: They had had a rough few years, and are trying to start up again. My order with them was thier last chance if it didn't go well, but it went very smoothly. I hope the owner can get his company off the ground again.
