What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

Sunday morning. Time to give my face a rest. No straight today. Think I have a nick in the Dovo. It won't strop out, so time to put it up till Tue. Think its a DE day, and healing day.

 

I had my Dovo honed by vintage blades LLC before it shipped to me.

 

Then you got a shave ready razor

 

Jamie that razor is really really UGLY...you need to send it to me ASAP so it doesn't turn the rest of your razors UGLY...I am willing to sacrifice my den just for you...

 

I'm pleased you actually brought this to my attention I'l send it at once. seriously though this razor may well be my best shaver the edge is quite exceptional.

Soap = King R. Emporium shave stick
Brush = VDH Boar
Alum = Osama for skin stretching
Witch Hazel
Aloe
AS = Himalayan bay rum
ASB = dove

Another fine shave today very little irritation Nicks 2 left earlobe right lower neck. Ice cold water and alum eventually sealed the nicks.

Now that the shave has been honed I am becoming to enjoy the shave with this blade. Today I only striped the blade before and after the shave.That Illinois #127 strop does a bang up job maintaining the edge.

I have been stretching my skin more on my face and neck, so much as a matter of fact I gave myself a face lift hahaha. Take care

This one came to me as a NOS razor I have honed it as I do even if the seller stated it was shave ready as I prefer to dial in my own edges.

 

One more day to go with this fine Wostenholm…

 

Clauss 5/8 full hollow round end.
first substantial nick. I left a little line beside my nose, in a spot that isn't even shaved. gotta watch what I'm doin.

Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS Frosted Glass 1960s
Whipped up the Truefitt&Hill with the Silvertip. This cream Is incredibly slick and gives a lot of cushion. Getting better and a little closer with the round point. My angles are getting better and the blade was singing a nice tune with some help from the Truefitt&Hill. Working on getting under my upper lip, and I'm getting better. I finished with my first DE and only needed 1/2 pass. Very smooth shave with the straight, very happy. Nice cucumber smell with the WH, and then some soothing Nivea. After cleanup some Old Spice Lime original Shulton AS. Ahhhhh! And cleanup was great! No soap scum on anything, and a great slick shave from the Trufitt&Hill. I may have to get some more. Y'all have a good one.

old French made brush
Used an old Hard Arkansas and my unknown finisher to touch up this nice American razor. Wicked sharp edge on this blade and a fine shave this morning. Have a good one.

 

Final day using this fine Sheffield razor! Consecutive days of outstanding shaves!
...Moving onto The Duck tomorrow.
