Technically alcohol mixes with water. That's why it's the main ingredient in Heet.
As for the rolls, its technically in an SE category razor. Imho . I do know of different types of vintage razors that used stroppable blades.

Will it displace any water under the hollow created to support that kick stand mechanism?
can't reach with paper. the book said tap it(I did). I don't want rust in that hard to reach spot.

That I don't know. I've not messed with a razor like that before.
And I don't want to give you bad info or advice that may cause damage to your razor.

SE razors tend to fall under the safety razor classification—at least that is how they are typically sorted out here at TSD.

Used the DD Goldege today. same boringly-predictable smooth results as usual….:D although I did manage to cut myself with the tip.

That's what tends to happen with a spike. (Apologize. I just had to throw that out there). :o

With a true spike, absolutely—which is why I'm selling off some of my spike pointed razors.
The DD has more of a standard square point, slightly muted, but still enough of a tip to get ya!

I'm going to hone my satinedge next week and mute the point on it. I muted my dovo spike, and first time using it, no bloodletting.

I think we can let it slide this once, but you should pick up a straight my friend! Truly where the fun of wet shaving comes to a head.

BTW: Isopropyl alcohol is miscible in water and will not displace it.

I've never noticed that. I usually cut the edge of my strops near the top coming back with the razor's edge.

I have the same problem with a few new Dovo's with spine work coming in for honing Mike they mark my strop up badly so I just use my bench strop not allowing them anywhere near my Kanayama.
